Course Description: An introduction to the types of communication that are part of the life of a computing professional. Topics include analysis of purpose of a document or report, and writing effectively for the expertise and interests of the intended audience. Writing assignments will cover reports, specifications and user documentation. Oral reports and presentation skills also are emphasized. Small and large group activities will be used to simulate a wide range of work and communications environments.
